Speaking in an interview with the LA Times, project leader for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Haden Blackman, discussed the possibility of LucasArts' recent video game making its way onto the big screen.
"Oh, that would be incredible, and it's not impossible. Never say never. George [Lucas] has looked to tell new Star Wars stories through the games and with the entire Star Wars Expanded Universe,” said Blackman.
“And then he has also shown a willingness to let the characters come into the films. Look at Aayla Secura, a creation in the [Dark Horse] comic books who became part of the theatrical films."Geoff Boucher of the LA Times goes on to speculate that Lucas could take a theatrical spin on the game in a similar direction to the recently released Clone Wars animated movie.
Duke Nukem Forever Screens in Duke Nukem 3D XBLA

We thought Duke Nukem 3D on the Xbox Live Arcade would be the closest we'd get to having an actual release of Duke Nukem Forever. It was ok, we'd accepted that. But now 3D Realms has teased us with two screenshots hidden in the XBLA port.
After unlocking all the game's achievements, two screenshots become available in the game's concept art gallery. One, seen above, depicts Duke confronting a revamped Octobrain from Duke Nukem 3D. The other just shows Duke posing in front of some strippers, shocking no one.
The Octobrain shot seems to be taken from a dam level, perhaps the Hoover Dam sequence that was supposed to be in Duke Nukem Forever back when it was running on the Quake 2 engine. Remember those days?

Brain Training Boosts Maths Scores

The BBC is reporting that, according to a recent study involving more than 600 pupils in 32 Scottish primary schools, Nintendo's Brain Training games for the DS do, in fact, have a positive impact on player's mental abilities.
"Computer games help flatten out the hierarchy that exists in schools - they are in the domain of the learner as opposed to the domain of the school,” said Derek Robertson of Learning and Teaching Scotland
"This intervention encouraged all children to engage and get success in a different contextual framework; one in which they don't know their place."According to the study, daily sessions of Brain Training from Dr Kawashima helped children to improve their concentration, behaviour, and even their test skills.

MTV's Multiplayer Blog recently sat down with Banjo-Kazooie creator Gregg Mayles to discuss Peter Moore's recent comments about Rare's lack of relevance in the current gaming landscape, as well as a number of other topics.
Chief among these other topics was the subject of reviving franchises other than Banjo-Kazooie, which returns in the form of an Xbox Live Arcade port of the original game, and the all-new Xbox 360 exclusive, Nuts and Bolts.
“I wouldn’t say we’ve gotten a set of agenda that we’re now gonna do that same process on every one of our [intellectual properties],” said Mayles.
“I think for ‘Banjo’ it was the right thing to do. For some of the other IP, the right thing to do probably is not look at them again. Maybe the right thing to do in the future for some of them is to look at them again.”In specific regards to long-standing rumours of a Killer Instinct sequel, Mayles noted that “if someone came up with some revolutionary idea for a new fighting game, yeah, we might think of resurrecting ‘Killer Instinct.’"
“But what we’re not gonna do is just say ‘okay, there’s this kind of vocal, fairly small vocal minority of real die-hard fans out there that want to see KI, so therefore, we should be doing KI.’ That’s not how we’d approach it,” he concluded.
