Skate It For Wii, DS Is Official

Electronic Arts officially confirms the Wii/DS duo.

Electronic Arts has today confirmed that it will be bringing Skate It, a spin-off from last year's popular Skate title for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, to the Nintendo DS and Wii later this year.

“We knew it would be an exciting challenge to bring the soul and feel of skateboarding to the Wii and Nintendo DS,” said Scott Blackwood, Executive Producer - Skate franchise.

“With fresh new designs and gameplay components built from scratch, we’ve been able to, once again, capture the true experience of skateboarding in a completely innovative way.”

As we reported late last week, Skate It will replace the original game's reliance on analogue stick controls with Wii Remote, Balance Board and touch screen support for the Wii and DS, respectively.
