Mega Man Starforce: Dragon

Now getting back to Brother Band, which I mentioned at the beginning of this review, it's the name of the network you'll be using to befriend NPCs in Star Force as well as real-life players. If the name Brother Band sounds uh...."strange", I wouldn't blame you as it's basically a convoluted system for sending messages and gaining small power boosts for your character. While you might also be able battle human opponents over Brother Band, the game only lets you keep six people on your friends list at a time so get used to fighting the same people over and over again.

Overall, Mega Man Star Force is nothing but a re-packaged Mega Man Battle Network 6. A combination of tired, repetitive gameplay, outdated presentation and weak story will make it appealing to only the most diehard Battle Network fans. If this is truly Capcom's vision of the future of the Mega Man series, then the future is very, very bleak.

Highs
New 3D battles and the visual effects within them admitedly look good; battles employ some clever uses of the DS stylus.

Lows
It's the same game Battle Network fans have been playing for six years; outdated visuals and audio; weak story and characters.

Final Verdict
Considering Capcom announced Mega Man Star Force 2 before this game even came out, that should be reason enough to avoid it.
